Randolph Sylvester Abbott

February 06, 1938~April 22, 2026

Randolph Sylvester Abbott was born in Saint Vincent in the West Indies on February 6, 1938, to Irene Abbott Rose. He was one of five surviving children.

Randolph later relocated to Trinidad and Tobago, where he lived with his aunt Josephine Dyer and husband Alfred Dyer, his cousin Roselyn Dyer, and brother Renoldo Dyer, along with other siblings, and the Sealy family.

He is survived by his children, Barbara Abbott McGhee and Enrique Abbott; his stepchildren, Michelle and Denise; his granddaughters, Alicia McGhee and Cindy Abbott; his grandson, Enrique Jose Abbott, and his son-in-law, Paul McGhee.

Randolph was a man who loved the Lord. He faithfully read the Bible, especially the Book of Psalms. He also had a deep love for music. He played drums in the popular band Andre Tanker, and he kept his drums throughout his life.

He enjoyed bringing family and friends together, often inviting everyone out to a restaurant to share a meal. He also loved cooking and spending time with those he cared about.

Randolph had a special love for children and was blessed with many nieces and nephews. He worked as a Skycap at the airport in New York City and later as a taxi driver in Brooklyn.

He was preceded and surrounded in love by his siblings: Joseph Rose, Ralph Rose, Cynthia Rose, Magdalene Jennings, and Anton Rose.

He also shared close and meaningful bonds with  Linda Sealy, Pearl Sealy, Anne Rose, Tyler and Brianna Sookup,  his close friend Curtis Joseph, and Herman his cousin and the rest of the Sealy family.

Randolph loved his family deeply. He also had a strong interest in politics and enjoyed thoughtful conversations about current events.

He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

Love you.
