Jamel Williams, lovingly known as “Mailman,” was born on May 20, 1985, and passed away on May 25, 2026, in Tampa, Florida. He was a proudproduct of Hillsborough County, attending local schools and graduating from Tampa Bay Technical High School, where he developed the passion thatwould become his life’s work-Auto Mechanics.

Jamel was known for his skillful hands, sharp mind, and the joy he found in fixing anything with an engine.

Jamel was preceded in death by his father, Johnny James Williams; brother, Demiko Williams; grandparents, Doris and Clifton Black, Hattie MaeWilliams, and Jimmy Nevels; nephew, Kimari James; and great-niece, Alaiyah Love.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Cherishing him always are his mother, Regina Black-Guerrier, and her husband, Fritz Guerrier; his son, Demonjae Williams; and his daughter, J’myla Williams, God dad, Sham Sahadeo and God Mother, Anita Sahadeo.

Jamel is also survived by his devoted siblings: Brothers: Jonthan and Marquita Williams, Johnny James Williams Jr., Adrain Howard, Anthony Woods,Christopher Woods, and Everett Taylor; God-Brother: Walter McFadden; Sisters:

Timika and Marcus Davis, Tiquanda Williams (Torrie), and Natasha and Antonio Jordan; God-Sister: Demetria Mays and Louina Sahadeo; God- Brother, Julian Mitchell, Roy Sahadeo and David Sahadeo.

He is further remembered with love by his aunties: Deanna Baker (Richard), Evangeline Black, Tanya Black-Bryant, Ernestine Burnett, and Jewelstine Toombs (Wendell); and his uncles: Clifton Black (Elizabeth), Christopher and Tina Black, Willie Williams, and James Williams.

Jamel’s life touched a wide circle of family and friends, including a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins, each of whomcarries a piece of his spirit forward.

The family extends a heartfelt special thanks to The Wells In and owner Vondalyn Wright for their kindness and support.

Jamel “Mailman” Williams will be remembered for his warm heart, his loyalty, his humor, and the way he made every oom brighter simply by being init. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love will remain forever.
