On Saturday, September 12, 2026, Helen Louise Coaston went to her eternal home. She was born to the late Elder Zac D. and Mary Lee Coaston on September 11, 1969 in Fort Myers, Florida. She attended schools in Palm Beach and Hillsborough Counties and was a proud graduate of King High School in Tampa, FL, class of 1987. She went on to further her education at the University of South Florida, graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in 1991.
Helen’s faith was an integral part of her life. She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age and she loved the Lord and serving in ministry. She was a member of Heritage Christian Community Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Delores James Cain and Rev. Dr. Eric L. Bostick.
Above all, Helen’s greatest joy was her family. Her memory will be forever be cherished by her devoted Goddaughter, Ashley Streeter, and her precious granddaughter, Layla R. Lopez, who brought immense joy and pride into her life.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents Elder Zac D. and Mary Lee Coaston, sister, Jacqueline Ferguson, and brother, Oscar “Curtis” Coaston.
She is survived by her loving siblings, Joann Marie Hernandez (Antonio), Zacqueline Diane Davis (Frank), and Zac De’Salvo Coaston (Angel). Helen’s love extended beyond her family, as she leaves behind a special niece Anita Hernandez Walker, R.E.A.P. Book Club, the Streeter Family and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and a circle of close friends who were touched by her love, generosity and warmth.
Her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on in the beautiful memories she created with her loved ones.
