It is with profound sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Dr. Kenneth E. Ugen, a distinguished Professor in the Department of Molecular Medicine at the University of South Florida. He was born August 18, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA. He passed away September 10, 2026.
For many years, Dr. Ugen dedicated himself to the education and development of future medical professionals, helping countless students pursue their education, accomplish their goals, and earn their degrees. His dedication to teaching, research, mentorship, and the medical community leaves a lasting legacy.
Dr. Ugen will truly be missed. His contributions and the lives he touched will never be forgotten.
